If You Tought Waterboarding Was Bad...
According to this report, one of the first things Obama plans to do as President is order the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay closed. He will likely cite this recent shocking UN report as evidence:
I was on the fence about this, but after watching that video I have to admit that I am in complete agreement with President-elect Obama on this one. The torture methods, if anything, look even more severe than those that the CIA was secretly practicing in New York in the 1970s. I'm surprised that the video is still up, frankly...
Since I put this post up, I've had three emails from someone called '54', making veiled references to my "staying alive" and threatening to "shake my groove thing" if I don't shut up about this abuse. He also implied I was compromising national security and the free flow of polyester at market prices.
