“Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them.”
Well, Dear Readers, meet the the doomed generation:
This is our future. And you wonder why Obama was elected and re-elected?

Religion Of Peace (tm) Watch. (Updated and Bumped)
It's been a particularly busy weekend of evangelizing for the Religion of Peace (tm):
Kenya: "The gunmen told Muslims to stand up and leave. They were safe, and non-Muslims would be targeted."
Pakistan: "The attack occurred as worshipers left the All Saints Church in the old quarter of the regional capital, Peshawar, after a service on Sunday morning."
For much, much more, go here.
UPDATE 23SEPT13: Something you won't find in the American Mainstream Media - unvarnished coverage of the Nairobi shopping center killings: "Survivors said they saw fellow shoppers mercilessly executed after being singled out as non-Muslim." Read the whole thing.

Let Me Fix That Headline For You.

Turning His Back...
...On secular democracy in Egypt. Obama, that is. And Egypt ain't too happy about it.
I mean, really. What did they expect? Barry is so far up the arse of the Muslim Brotherhood he could do a colonoscopy.

The Grapes Of Spong.
This being Palm Sunday, I think it's a good time to note the progress the Liberal wing of Anglicanism has achieved in the UK:
One Rev. Dr Giles Fraser thinks all that "whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" is a bunch of hooey. So, Giles... what's the point?
The parish of Holy Trinity / St. Mary's, Guildford, apparently gets in touch with their inner Himmler, posting this bit of inclusive indaba dhimmitude on their website:

Some are saying the site was hacked, and have alerted the parish. Yet, the cartoon remains...
An electrician in the UK is facing the sack for displaying a palm-frond Cross on his dashboard. That's where mine is today. I thank my lucky stars (and stripes) that I don't live in the UK today.
Hattip to The MCJ.
UPDATE: In a related note, the grapes of "diversity": The 12th-Century Boys practice some interfaith dialogue and religion-of-peace cultural understanding in London. I don't know if Rowan Williams would approve, but I know he sure as hell won't protest.
UPDATE 18APR11: Well that didn't take long - the cartoon is gone. But have no fear, dear readers, there is something called "screenshot", and I have one. In case they want to get all Orwellian on us.

Where's Free Speech? (UPDATED)
After Calvin & Hobbes and Bloom County, Wiley Miller's Non Sequitur is one of my favorite cartoon strips. While I don't always agree with it, it is the best political strip going. (I vaguely remember there was this 'Doonesbury' strip... but it quit being funny around, oh, January 1981. -ed.) (UPDATE: I meant 'the best' in terms of syndicated, dead-tree cartoons. The best damn political cartoon around today is Day-by-Day, which is over there to the right on the sidebar. Apologies for any misunderstanding, Chris. -ed.)
Last week, Non Sequitur tested whether all that standing up for free speech talk over the years by The Washington Post and others in the Fourth Estate, is real. It isn't. Well, not when it could put them (literally) in the crosshairs.
Here is the strip these supposed defenders of the First Amendment apparently pulled last week. One guess why they pulled it.
If Wiley had done a strip with 'Where's Jesus?', or 'Where's Buddha?', or 'Where's Moses?', do you think they would have pulled that one as well? Me either.

Like, Who Cares.
An irrelevant entity issues some one-sided indictments against Israel: 'Peace fellowship supports economic sanctions for Middle East peace.' Hey, Israel - no Indaba for you!
UPDATE: In other words, by supporting one side over another, some loonies at the The Episcopal Church (tm) are also arguing, "For it". (Edited for clarity - see below. -ed.)
UPDATE: Someone pointed out that this is not the official position of The Episcopal Church (tm) as a whole. That's correct - this is the conclusions of an even more loony Left subset of the loony Left crowd that's currently running things in my church.
