Hindsight is 20/20. Cliff Stoll, a geek hero back in the day (remember UNIX? command line? shell scripts? -ed.), tried to predict our digital future... and missed. Didn't we all?
Fun fact: Cliff Stoll was the first person I told after finding out my wife was pregnant with our first child in 1993. We were chatting on a bulletin board (remember those??) about some virus, I think. I've still got a print of the congrats email somewhere.
