There is a reason why libertarianism, the true ideological home of most conservatives and independents in the US, gets such a bad rap in the public mind. And that reason is idiotic, out-of-touch-with-reality things like this; and the idiot who did it.
Let's hope his son has a better grasp of things.
UPDATE: Darn. No Paul-bots have chimed in to defend their messiah. They usually do, and they're always entertaining - in that "watch-the-dog-bark-furiously-at-the flashlight-beam-on-the-ceiling" kind of way.
