Via Hot Air, here's one reason why Mr. Newman was right:
If you're from Louisiana and/or send your kids to LSU, remember your tax dollars and your tuition payments give this fellow a paycheck. Critics are saying Governor Jindal's cuts in higher education will force the lay off faculty. OK. I say we start with this Dr. Schaefer guy.
And if he does get laid off, Dr. Schaefer should know that out-of-work radical Lefty academics are always welcome as clergy in The Episcopal Church (tm). It seems to be a career fast-track.

good for him--Dr Schafer's a little awkward in his delivery, but he's saying what they need to hear and encouraging them to think a little about taking personal responsibility for enormous social problems that will prob'ly bite them in the asses within their lifetimes.
