Proof.

The trouble with socialism - even the most benign and well intentioned - is that, to paraphrase Margaret Thatcher: you eventually run out of other people's money.

(For the record, Maggie's actual quote from a Thames TV interview, 5 February 1976: "...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them".)
