Hot, Tired, And Sticky, But Safe.

I'm sure y'all heard, Baton Rouge took a shallacking from Hurricane Gustav. (I haven't seen the Net in days, and am posting this from my cell phone.). We're OK - no power and lots of downed branchches, trees, and power lines. Our house wasn't damaged, but many were. Will post images later. Prayers appreciated.

P.S. FEMA sucks. Still.

Having lived in BR after Andrew in 1992 I can say in all honesty: I feel your pain. It will get better. Don't count on the Feds for anything, you gotta make your own destiny. NOt trying to be cruel, it's just a fact. Do take care......Warren

Having had to deal with the Federal Eternal Misery Agency for two years now, it wasn't surprising. They forgot to bring the bloody blue tarps!

Saint Luke's lost it's steeple. Some water damage inside the church. New gym/activity center/middle school building beat up, too.

I'm a regular reader from Texas. Glad to hear that your home and family are well, and we'll continue to keep all of those affected by Gustav in our prayers.
