GENSIS 1For those unfamiliar, 'LOLcat' is an Internet phenomenon where a picture, usually of a cat, is paired with a sentence or two in a barely comprehensable lingo (for us old farts, anyway - ed.) combining 'texting' shorthand and urban slang. (More here.)

The Episcopal Church (tm) has something similar. It's the combination of left-wing secular theology and post-modernist slang into a barely comprehensible lingo called 'LOLkate'. Here's a recent example.

Back to LOLcats. I was disappointed in Matthew 24, but Revelation 20 and 21 were done well. Revelation 21 in particular illustrates how the Bible needs to be translated (or perhaps paraphrased) in a way that makes it meaningful in a particular culture.

And no seaz either which is good for teh kittehz. 2 kk Ai saw a noo jerusalem come down from teh ceiling cat. By way of comparison, here's how the NIV renders those verses.
Because you posted a link to the Lolcats gospel, you've been tagged!
I've been tagged? Oh, my. I did feel pretty drowsy after lunch. Wonder if they took a tooth impression, measured my feet and checked me for parasites.
[grin!]
My whole family has had many humorous moments the last few days reading various chapters of the LOLcat Bible. In this Advent season we've especially enjoyed Matthew 1:18-25. But srsly, too much time on your hands!
