It's early December. It's South Louisiana. And, for the second year in a row, we're expecting snow. Yes, snow. Not a few flakes in the air, but measurable stuff on the ground. (And yes, if it sticks your humble blogger be out X-country skiing again.)
Dear readers, "global warming" is worse than a joke; it's a fraud. Someone should "hide the decline" up Al Gore's arse.

An up here in the Great Green North, we're still waiting for our first good snowfall that will stay. We've only had one morning where we woke up to snow and it melted by the afternoon.
This is not that unusual for Ottawa. The 70s and 80s were cold and we usually had winter start in early November. But my mom remembers a whole series of green Christmases in the 40s, with the coldest winter on record in 1941 sandwiched in between two of the warmest.
Enjoy your snow, if you can. We'll take it back from you soon and send you all our snowbirds to boost your local economy.
BTW, we visited Lafayette and St Martinsville in June last year. Too hot for me, but y'all are great folks. Geaux Tigers and all that.
